5 Managers in the Premier League most likely to be SACKED next

We all know how short the lifespan of a first team head coach is in football. Managers are chopped and changed at the drop of a hat in the Premier League – but who will be next head on the chopping block?

We’ll look at five Premier League managers who could be the next boss to get the boot. We’ve already seen a couple of sackings so far – who’s next?

Unai Emery

Unai Emery may have saved his bacon with a four wins in a row over Bologna, Fulham, Feyenoord and Burnley, but Aston Villa’s abysmal start to the Premier League season will do him no favours if the Villans hit another slump in form.

Emery’s propensity to play players in unnatural roles has been his downfall on several occasions this season, but he has been doing this less frequently over the course of Villa’s last few games.

Scott Parker

It would be a ruthless – and perhaps senseless – call to sack Scott Parker at the moment, but Burnley form has recently hit the rocks. If this poor run continues for much longer, the Clarets may feel like they have no other options.

Parker was fantastic for Burnley last season, recruiting smartly and guiding them to a relevatively comfortable promotion. Their fortunes have not been quite the same in England’s top division, however – they are now without a win since late August.

Daniel Farke

Daniel Farke is in a similar position to Scott Parker. After an excellent 2024/25 season that saw Leeds United promoted to the Premier League as champions, the Whites have not been able to replicate their previous success this season.

They have picked up some solid wins over Everton and Wolves so far this season, but Leeds’ lack of consistency could hurt them in the long run – and cost Farke his job before the end of the season.

Ange Postecoglou

It seems odd to be writing this, but Ange Postecoglou’s job at Nottingham Forest already looks to be in jeopardy – despite landing the role less than a month ago.

The Australian has failed to win any of his first seven games in charge of the Trees, which included an ignominious defeat against Championship outfit Swansea City in the League Cup. Chants of ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ have already been aimed at him – by Forest’s own fans. A damning omen if ever there was one.

Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim’s tenure at Manchester United has looked doomed from the start. We all know the main talking points by now – Amorim’s refusal to deviate from his beloved 3-4-3 has come at a major cost for the Red Devils in 2025/26.

It seems like one more bad result will finally push Amorim over the edge, but he saved his job at the weekend with a win over Sunderland. However, even his staunchest of defenders will struggle to back him if he leads United into another bad run of results.
