AI predicts Arsenal’s top goal scorers for 2025/26 – good news for Gooners

We asked AI to predict top goal scorers for Arsenal in the forthcoming season, and the results will leave the Emirates faithful optimistic.

Arsenal were involved in the Premier League title race last season before eventually conceding to Liverpool after being bitten by the injury bug. Mikel Arteta and his boys will be determined to improve their performance and thereby have a better chance at winning their first title in over two decades.

We at Essential Football asked Artificial Intelligence mammoth, ChapGPT to predict the top goal scorers for Arsenal in the 2025/26 season – the results are a little surprising. Let’s be honest the predictions are pretty conservative as for starters Gyokeres you would think has to be a 20 goal man and the other predictions are a bit general but anyway let’s dive in.

Here are AI’s predicted top goal scorers for the upcoming season.

Viktor Gyokeres

Gyokeres was the most wanted man by Arsenal this summer and is unsurprisingly in the 1st position with 16-19 goals predicted by artificial intelligence.

A prediction that all Arsenal fans will hope the Swedish hitman will far exceed as he scored 54 goals in 52 games while playing for Sporting Lisbon and leading them to the title in Portugal.

Bukayo Saka

Despite not living up to the expectations in front of goal, with only 6 PL goals to his credit last season, this was largely due to an extended period on the sidelines due to injury.

Saka is in joint 2nd and expected to enjoy a much brighter season with artificial intelligence predicting the Englishman to find the back of the net on 10-15 occasions.

Kai Havertz

The German international was the side’s top goal scorer last season but is unlikely to maintain the position in the upcoming season.

Havertz finished the previous campaign with 9 goals and AI projects him to finish joint 2nd and score as many as 10-15 goals goals this season.

Gabriel Martinelli

The Brazilian winger is also predicted to finish in joint 2nd place and is projected to also find the back of the net on 10-15 occasions.

Martinelli finished last season with 8 goals to his credit but he is a better finisher than that and if he can avoid the injuries of last season he should deliver a better return.

Martin Ødegaard

The Norwegian playmaker was injured for a big chunk of the season after picking up a serious injury whilst on international duty.

The Arsenal skipper was unfairly criticised for his performances last season and was inconsistent in front of goal only scoring 3 PL goals as he struggled a little. Ødegaard tried to push the team forward but was not quite himself despite always giving his all. You could never fault his commitment.

AI predicts he will have a better season finishing in 5th position with 5-10 goals in the 2025/26 campaign with his role likely also to be very much about creating chances for new man Viktor Gyokeres. You would still expect a return closer to a 10 goal season for the Gunners skipper.

Conclusion: things look pretty good for the Gunners

Looking at these AI goal predictions in a balanced way you could realistically expect 19 from Gyokeres, 15 from Saka, 10 from Havertz, 12 from Martinelli and 9 from Ødegaard meaning a total of 65 goals from just those 5 players alone. The Gunners scored just 69 Premier League goals in the entire 2024/25 season finishing 2nd.

This makes for positive reading as you would expect the likes of Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelley, Gabriel and the rest of the squad not to mention the emerging Max Dowman could provide another 40 goals meaning a 100+ goal season. Scoring this many goals usually puts you bang in title contention.

There has to genuine optimism at The Emirates as Arsenal are led by one the PL’s top manager’s plus they already have a rock solid defence and a world class goalkeeper in David Raya. They have added quality depth and if things click they may just have all the ingredients to be there fighting for the title at the business end of the season. You would not bet against them besides a lacklustre preseason.

Arsenal are still active in the transfer market and are linked with the signing of several players. Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace is one of the players who could be joining the north London this summer if Arsenal can get the deal over the line. It would be a coup to land the England man as he would add another dimension to the team.

Arsenal will surely be in the mix for the title with Liverpool and Chelsea and possibly Manchester City as Mike Arteta looks to have most areas of the pitch well covered.

Make some good points and all the teams are bringing new strikers it’s a question of which ones click – if Gyokeres scores 20+ goals it could really change the Gunners fortunes I reckon

Liverpool have Salah and Gakpo plus Ekitike who if he hits the ground running is impressive but add Isak PLUS all the goals from the midfield then Arsenal are gonna have a battle on their hands I don’t see Chelsea being able to be there at the end of the season. Liverpool are the team to beat surely
