Which attacking threat will Arsenal sign? We look at 2 options

Arsenal recently secured the services of attacker Viktor Gyokeres after a long-running transfer saga.

The Gunners have been massively occupied this transfer window with the objective of winning the Premier League this season. As many as 5 high-profile signings have arrived at the club, with big money being spent by the north London side.

However, there seems to be more transfer magic left at Arsenal with the Gunners linked with several high-profile names. The Emirates faithful could yet be in for more of a joy ride before the transfer window concludes in August.

New signings already through the door

Fans have been delighted with the capture of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon. The arrivals of Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard will make Arteta delighted and relieved. After the midfield duo of Thomas Partey and Jorginho were allowed to head for the exit doors at the Emirates.

Kepa Arrizabalaga was signed from cross-town rivals, Chelsea, providing the Spanish tactician with a reliable 2nd option between the sticks. Cristhian Mosquera is another handy addition to the backline.

In the attack, Arsenal seemed to be running thin last season, and Arteta has certainly made it a point to solve the issue with urgency. The arrivals of Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres will provide some relief to the Arsenal loyalists.

However, more additions in attack are expected with the Gunners still being linked to several names in the transfer market. Other players that could arrive at the Emirates Stadium before the close of the summer transfer market are of high quality.

Real Madrid’s Rodrygo

The Real Madrid winger has been heavily linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu.

The arrival of new gaffer, Xabi Alonso, has further intensified the rumours, with the Spanish boss not relying heavily on the services of Rodrygo during the recently concluded Club World Cup in the United States of America.

A successful deal for Rodrygo would cost the Gunners a fee in the region of £75 million – Arsenal have massively splashed the cash this summer with the signing of Gyokeres having cost £55 million already but have been linked with possible sales to accommodate new players in attack.

Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze

The Crystal Palace attacker is a more likely candidate to arrive at the Emirates this summer. Eberechi Eze has proven his mettle in the Premier League and could be an excellent creative addition to the Arsenal attacking line.

The club are without the services of star attacker Gabriel Jesus until the beginning of next year. A deal for the exciting England international, who would add something different to the mix, could be finalised for a fee north of £60 million.

The club have also been linked with the English duo of Morgan Rogers and Anthony Gordon but those moves seem less likely.

What are their rivals doing?

With all three of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City doing plenty of transfer business, Arsenal are not taking anything for granted as the ante is being upped this summer.

Mikel Arteta is being backed by the club and fans will be looking for a sustained assault on the Premier League title as well as another fine Champions League campaign and ultimately a trophy or two.
