England Predicted Lineup Vs Panama – Tuchel Could Drop Star Man

Last time out, Ghana caused a bit of a stir when they forced England into a 0-0 draw in Group L of the 2026 World Cup. It was a poor display from the Three Lions, for sure, but credit must go out to the Black Stars for their defensive heroics.

Following this below-par display, Thomas Tuchel could make wholesale changes ahead of their clash with Panama. England also have a couple of injuries to worry about – here is how we thin they’ll line up on Saturday evening.

GK: Jordan Pickford

Jordan Pickford has looked a little more unsettled than usual during the 2026 World Cup. Often characterised as an erratic, eccentric goalkeeper, he hasn’t been at his brilliant best thus far.

That aside, he isn’t going to lose his spot in the XI any time soon. Even amongst middling form, he is still – hands down – England’s best ‘keeper.

RB: Djed Spence

Yes, we all saw Tuchel’s irate rantings at Djed Spence from the touchline against Ghana, but one miscommunication shouldn’t cost him his spot in the team.

Furthermore, a report from BBC Sport claims that Reece James, England’s first-choice right-back, is nursing an injury. Spence might be a natural left-back, but being right-footed, he’s perfectly comfortable when fielded on the right.

CB: Ezri Konsa

Ezri Konsa also looked nervous against Ghana – in truth, he was very, very lucky to have not conceded a penalty against the Black Stars. A tight offside call spared his blushes.

Nevertheless, Tuchel is clearly a big fan of the Aston Villa star. With no superior options on the bench, he’ll likely keep his place in the XI.

CB: Marc Guehi

Marc Guehi was the better of the centre-back two against Ghana, sweeping up everything that his partner could not – he also played some great long balls forward.

He and Konsa don’t really compliment each other very well, being similar players, but Guehi will certainly remain in the team – barring any unforeseen injuries, of course.
