Europa League Team of the Week XI

LB: Maximilian Mittelstädt

Stuttgart star Maximilian Mittelstadt put forth a wonderful performance against Maccabi Tel Aviv, as he scored a penalty and notched up an assist en route a dominant 4-1 win.

Germany aren’t exactly spoiled for choice at left-back at the moment – could Mittelstadt be a late inclusion to their World Cup squad?

RM: Federico Bernardeschi

Federico Bernardeschi has seen it all – at 31 years of age, he is a veteran of the game, but his display against Celta Vigo might have been one of the best of his illustrious career.

The battle-hardened Italian scored a penalty, then scored again to give Bologna a come-from-behind win over the Spaniards.

CM: Luciano Valente

Feyenoord may have fallen to defeat against FCSB, but Luciano Valente still put forth his best effort in spite of the result.

He notched up two assists from the heart of midfield, both of which came within three minutes of each other.

CM: Bence Otvos

Robbie Keane’s Ferencvaros condemned Rangers to a new low on Thursday night, as they overturned a 1-0 deficit to defeat the ‘Gers by a score of 2-1.

Bence Otvos scored a crucial goal just before half time to bring the game level, as he put in an excellent display from central midfield.
