Liverpool now linked with Araujo signing instead of Guehi

Liverpool may now be focusing their resources on a move for Barcelona’s reliable defender and captain, Ronald Araujo shifting away from summer target Marc Guehi.

The Reds’ ‘perfect’ summer transfer window outing was spoiled by Crystal Palace. The London-based club took a last-minute decision to withdraw from the negotiations in the deal, all while Marc Guehi was undergoing his Liverpool medical on deadline day. Only letting the Anfield faithful settle for the transfer of Alexander Isak on the evening of 1^st September.

From nearly signing Marc Guehi to now seeking alternatives in the market, things have taken a dramatic turn for Arne Slot. The Reds will now face increased competition from other suitors across Europe, with some interesting developments in the transfer market.

Why are Liverpool moving their attention to other options?
