Carlos Augusto

Carlos Augusto Zopolato Neves, commonly known as Carlos Augusto, is a Brazilian footballer whose versatility on the pitch defines his playing style. Born on 7 January 1999, the 26-year-old has established himself as a reliable left-back and wide midfielder, while also demonstrating his capability as a centre-back. His defensive prowess and quality crossing have earned him recognition, making him a key asset for both his club, Inter Milan, and the Brazil national team.

Carlos began his football journey at the age of 12 with the youth setup at Corinthians. He quickly made a name for himself, contributing to the team that triumphed in the 2017 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. The young talent made his professional debut in a friendly against Grêmio on 8 July 2018, before starting his first official match against Athletico Paranaense on 4 August of the same year. Over his two-year stint at Corinthians, Carlos made 32 appearances and netted a single goal, helping the club secure the prestigious Campeonato Paulista in both 2018 and 2019.

In August 2020, Carlos made a significant move to Monza, a club newly promoted to Serie B. His impact was immediate, as he scored his first goal for the club in a 2–0 victory over Venezia on 12 December 2020, becoming the youngest defender in the league's history to score a long-range goal at that time. Throughout his tenure at Monza, he accumulated 45 appearances and six goals, earning a spot in the Serie B Team of the Season for the 2020-21 campaign. His performances were pivotal in helping Monza achieve their maiden promotion to Serie A.

In 2023, Carlos Augusto joined Inter Milan, where he continues to evolve as a player. He has also made his mark on the international stage, earning a cap for the Brazil national team since 2023.
