Youri Regeer

Youri Pieter Regeer, born on 18 August 2003, is a rising star in Dutch football, currently showcasing his talents as a midfielder for Ajax. With versatility that allows him to thrive as a right-back or in midfield, Regeer has already made a significant impact on the Eredivisie scene, earning recognition for his performances at both club and international levels.

Regeer's football journey began in the youth ranks of SV Zandvoort and Rijnsburgse Boys before he joined ADO Den Haag's academy in 2015. In 2017, he made a pivotal move to Ajax’s youth setup, where he honed his skills and quickly established himself as a key player for Jong Ajax. His professional debut came at the age of 17 during the 2019–20 season, and he became a vital part of the reserve team, captaining the side and contributing 6 goals in 91 appearances.

Making his mark on the first team, Regeer debuted for Ajax in a KNVB Cup match against BVV Barendrecht on 15 December 2021. He scored his first senior goal in the semi-finals against AZ Alkmaar on 3 March 2022 and made his Eredivisie debut just weeks later. Although he was part of the squad that clinched the Eredivisie title in the 2021–22 season, his opportunities were limited, leading him to seek more regular playing time.

On 9 June 2023, Regeer signed a four-year deal with FC Twente, where he quickly became an integral part of the team. His impressive performances earned him the Eredivisie Talent of the Month award in 2023, showcasing his potential to become a standout player in the league. As he continues to develop, Regeer's contributions to the Netherlands U21 team, where he has scored 2 goals in 11 appearances since 2023, further highlight his growing reputation as one of Dutch football's exciting young talents.
