Dan Burn

Daniel Johnson Burn, a stalwart in defence, has become a familiar name in English football, particularly known for his time with Premier League club Newcastle United. Born on 9 May 1992 in Blyth, Northumberland, Burn's journey to the top has been marked by resilience and commitment, starting from his early days as a goalkeeper before transitioning to a defender—a position that would ultimately define his professional career.

Burn's professional debut came at just 17 years old with Darlington in 2009, where he made 19 appearances over two seasons. His promising performances caught the eye of Fulham, and he joined the club at the end of the 2010–11 season. Although he did not make a first-team appearance during his time at Fulham, he honed his skills during loan spells at Yeovil Town and Birmingham City. At Yeovil, he made a significant impact, appearing 41 times in the 2012-13 season, before heading to Birmingham City on loan the following year. In 2016, Burn moved to Wigan Athletic after his contract with Fulham expired. His career took another upward trajectory when he signed with Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018. Initially loaned back to Wigan, he eventually established himself as a regular in the Brighton squad from the 2019-20 season, showcasing his defensive prowess in the Premier League. His consistent performances caught the attention of Newcastle United, his boyhood club, leading to a January 2022 transfer that fulfilled a lifelong dream.
