Matt O'Riley

Matthew Sean O'Riley, a dynamic attacking midfielder, has made significant strides in his football career since making his professional debut at just 17 years old. Born on 21 November 2000 in England, O'Riley has represented Denmark at the international level and currently plays for Ligue 1 side Marseille on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion. His journey reflects a blend of talent, determination, and a relentless pursuit of excellence on the pitch.

O'Riley's footballing journey began at Fulham, where he joined the academy at the age of eight. He honed his skills through the youth ranks and made his first-team debut on 8 August 2017 in a victorious EFL Cup match against Wycombe Wanderers. Despite being on the fringes of the first team for a couple of seasons, O'Riley's time at Fulham came to an end in the summer of 2020 after he opted not to sign a new contract, drawing interest from several clubs.

In January 2021, O'Riley signed with Milton Keynes Dons in League One. His impact was immediate, scoring his first professional goal just a week after joining the club in a 2–0 win against AFC Wimbledon. His performances at MK Dons showcased his potential and ability to influence games, setting the stage for his next move to Celtic in 2022. During his time in Scotland, O'Riley played a pivotal role in Celtic's success, contributing to their Scottish Premiership triumph in 2022 and earning several individual accolades in 2024, including Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year.

In 2024, O'Riley made the switch to Brighton & Hove Albion, eager to take on new challenges in the Premier League.
