Reed's journey began at Southampton, where he made his professional debut on 27 August 2013 in a League Cup match against Barnsley. Over seven years at Southampton, Reed accumulated 30 appearances, contributing to the team's efforts in both domestic and European competitions, including the Europa League.
In July 2017, Reed embarked on a loan spell at Norwich City, where he quickly became a vital part of the squad.
