Justin Devenny

Justin Devenny, born on 11 October 2003 in Scotland, is an emerging talent in the world of football, currently showcasing his skills as a midfielder for Premier League club Crystal Palace. Known for his tenacity and technical ability, Devenny has rapidly ascended through the ranks, making his mark both at club level and on the international stage with the Northern Ireland national team.

Devenny's football journey began at Kilmarnock, where he honed his craft in the youth system before making his professional debut at the tender age of 17. To gain valuable first-team experience, he was loaned to Broomhill during the 2021–22 season, where he made significant contributions in the Lowland Football League. Following his stint at Broomhill, Devenny moved to Airdrieonians in February 2022, first on loan and then permanently. His time at Airdrie was marked by pivotal moments, including helping the team gain promotion to the Scottish Championship. He scored his first senior goal in the Scottish League Cup against Cowdenbeath and played a crucial role in the play-off campaign, notably converting a decisive penalty in the final against Hamilton Academical in May 2023.

In August 2023, Devenny made the leap to the Premier League by signing with Crystal Palace, initially joining their under-21 development team. His hard work and dedication paid off when he made his Premier League debut in November 2024, starting in a match against Fulham. Just weeks later, he found the back of the net for the first time for the Eagles in a thrilling 2–2 draw with Aston Villa, marking a significant milestone in his young career.

On the international front, despite his Scottish roots, Devenny qualifies for the Northern Ireland national team through his mother. He has been a regular feature for the Northern Ireland U21 team since making his debut in October 2023, showcasing his potential on the international stage.
