Dário Essugo

Dário Essugo, born on 14 March 2005, is a rising star in Portuguese football, currently showcasing his talents as a midfielder for Chelsea in the Premier League. Having made a name for himself at a remarkably young age, Essugo's journey from the youth ranks of Sporting CP to the top tier of English football is nothing short of extraordinary.

Essugo's footballing story began in his hometown of Odivelas, where he joined Sporting CP's youth academy at just nine years old. His rapid ascent through the ranks culminated in March 2021 when he signed his first professional contract. Just days later, on 20 March, he made history by debuting for the first team in the Primeira Liga, becoming the youngest-ever player to do so at Sporting CP, aged just 16 years and 6 days.
