Thierno Barry

Thierno Mamadou Barry, born on 21 October 2002, is a promising French striker currently showcasing his talents at Premier League club Everton. A product of Lyon's youth system, Barry's journey through the ranks has been marked by determination and an eye for goal, making him a player to watch in the coming seasons.

Barry began his professional career at SC Toulon before making a pivotal move to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in 2021. Initially assigned to the reserve team in Championnat National 3, Barry displayed remarkable scoring ability, although he never made an appearance for the first team. His breakthrough moment came in July 2022 when he signed a two-season contract with KSV Beveren in Belgium. There, he exploded onto the scene, finishing his season with an impressive 20 goals, narrowly missing out on promotion alongside his team.

On 3 July 2023, Barry took a significant step in his career by signing a four-year contract with Swiss Super League side FC Basel. He made his league debut on 22 July 2023, although it was a challenging start, as he received a second yellow card and was dismissed in a 2–1 defeat against St. Gallen. However, Barry quickly turned the page, scoring his first goal for Basel just five days later in a UEFA Europa Conference League match against Tobol, despite facing another red card in that match. His knack for finding the net was evident, but his fiery temperament also became apparent early on.

Barry's next chapter began in August 2024 when he joined Villarreal, where he made a significant impact by scoring 11 goals in 35 appearances during the 2024-2025 season. His performance caught the attention of Everton, leading to his current signing with the Premier League club in 2025.
