Patrick Dorgu

Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, born on 26 October 2004, is rapidly making a name for himself in the world of football as a promising left wing-back or left back. Currently plying his trade at Manchester United, Dorgu has already showcased his talent on both club and international stages, demonstrating the potential to become a significant player in the Premier League.

Dorgu's football journey began in the vibrant neighbourhood of Husum, Copenhagen, where he played alongside his brothers at Husum Boldklub. His talent caught the attention of scouts, leading him to Nordsjælland's youth academy. However, it was his move to Italian club Lecce at the under-19 level in July 2022 that marked the start of his professional career. In February 2023, he extended his contract with Lecce, committing to the club until 2027. Dorgu made his professional debut on 13 August 2023 in a Coppa Italia match and soon after, he made his Serie A debut against Lazio. His impressive performances culminated in a memorable moment when he scored his first goal on 2 February 2024, helping Lecce secure a thrilling 3–2 victory over Fiorentina.

Dorgu's burgeoning career took a significant step forward when he signed for Manchester United on 2 February 2025 for a fee of £25 million, penning a five-and-a-half-year contract with the option for an additional year. Just five days later, he made his debut for the Red Devils in an FA Cup match against Leicester City, and on 26 February 2025, he marked his first Premier League start at the iconic Old Trafford.
