Premier League Team of the Week XI

The lastest iteration of our Premier League team of the week is here. Who were the best individual performers from gameweek 28?

We saw big wins for Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, while teams such as Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Chelsea all succumbed to defeat.

GK: Jose Sa

Wolves have had a dismal season during the 2025/26 campaign, but Friday night provided their long-suffering fans with a reason to cheer. Jose Sa was one of their top performers against local rivals Aston Villa, making a number of top saves to secure a clean sheet.

In the process, Wolves broke the unwanted record of the lowest points total in Premier League history, set by Derby County in 2007/08. It has been a miserable season for Wolves fans, but their cloud has been afforded a silver lining.

RB: Jurrien Timber

Jurrien Timber couldn’t keep a clean sheet against Chelsea, but he was nothing he could’ve done about their goal – the Arsenal star was largely faultless.

On top of this, Timber also scored Arsenal’s second goal of the game, which would ultimately prove to be the killing blow to the Blues.

CB: Yerson Mosquera

Yerson Mosquera had to contain Aston Villa’s stellar attacking talent, which is no easy feat – nevertheless, he was up to the task.

Making a number of tackles, blocks and clearances against Wolves’ bitter rivals, Mosquera defended his box fiercely and was duly rewarded with a clean sheet.

CB: Jarrad Branthwaite

Given Everton’s less-than-stellar home record this season, a game against Newcastle United was never going to be easy, but Jarrad Branthwaite stamped his authority on the Magpies from the first whistle.

Despite failing to maintain the Toffees’ clean, Branthwaite made up for it by scoring a deft glancing header from a corner.
