Brentford History
In 1889, members of Brentford Rowing Club and Boston Park Cricket Club came together to form a new sports club. Named Brentford FC, it was decided that the new club would be a football club.
One of Brentford’s crowning moments came in 1935, when they won the Second Division title – to this day, this remains their most notable honour.
They would enjoy a lengthy run in the First Division before being relegated in 1947. Amid financial troubles, the Bees had a long road back to the top division ahead of them.
Finally, in 2021, they won promotion to the Premier League after they defeated Swansea City in the playoff final, having remained there ever since.
This is the official Brentford FC club website.
