Manchester City History

Manchester City were founded in 1880 as the sky blue side of the city. They play at the newly expanded Etihad Stadium. The City Football Group took over the club in 2008 as Sheikh Mansour led the Emirati ownership group and the club has gone from strength to strength. The group now owns 13 teams in total.

The Citizens have won 10 Premier League titles and claimed their first Champions League trophy as part of a historic Premier League title, League Cup winning treble in the 2023-24 season under Pep Guardiola.
